Microsoft Fabric for the Power BI Professional

Microsoft Fabric for the Power BI Professional!

This workshop is tailored for Power BI Developers who want to enhance their existing Power BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric components and how each Fabric component takes part in the overall architecture of the analytical solution.

The day starts by introducing Power BI professionals to Microsoft Fabric and its core capabilities, and quickly deep dives into all you need to know as a Power BI Pro. Participants will get an overview of Fabric workloads, with practical focus on OneLake and DirectLake connections, Dataflow Gen 2, semantic modeling with Lakehouse and Warehouse, and Semantic Link Labs. The session will also cover how data agents integrate with Power BI, how to leverage Copilot for Power BI and DAX for faster analysis, and the essentials of the Power BI MCP Server.

Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, attendees will gain practical skills to enhance data modeling, reporting, and analytics workflows within the Fabric ecosystem, preparing them to apply these tools effectively in their day-to-day Power BI work.

By the end of the day, participants will have a better understanding on how to transition from traditional Power BI architecture to taking advantage of the full Fabric ecosystem.

A previously scheduled training session with Reza Rad will no longer take place due to his unavailability. We are pleased to announce that Patrick will now lead a new training day in its place.
